May 13, 2013 is election day in the Philippines. Well...you might think 'What does it have to do with Liquor Ban?" Yeah, that's what I thought. Ban on drinking beer might help keep people sober for the day but why? The election day regulations have been traced back to an attempt to stop the 19th century tradition of corrupt political bosses trading votes for free booze. According to Comelec, Commission on Election, the ban should help prevent alcohol-induced crimes and incidents. What do you think about Liquor Ban?
